China's vacuum packaging technology was developed in the early 1980 s, while vacuum inflatable packaging technology began to be used in small quantities in the early 1990 s. With the promotion and development of small packaging, its scope of application is becoming more and more extensive. Some will gradually replace hard packaging, and the prospect is very promising.

During this period, the number of production enterprises increased to nearly 3000, with 35000 employees. By 1996, due to the pull of magnesium smelting industry, the vacuum industry has developed rapidly.
